PetNanny and Animal Artist

....... Bring a little art into your life!

My Guys

Its only right I introduce you to my lovely guys.

Swift is my oldest Lurcher amazingly she is 13years old and despite being very slow on her worn out three legs she is not at all slow about letting us know what she wants.  Swift is partly responsible for me setting up Petnanny so thanks babes!  Swift has always been a bit special and not always for the right reasons, her main aim in life was to desimate the rabbit population and despite help from many professionals ( I enjoy teasing my friends, an old boss tried and told me he may as well have dressed up in a bunny outfit for all the change he saw) she still remains completely obsessed with runny bunnies, thankfully I managed, after many many attempts to tame her thanks to the mechanical hare on the dog tracks and also lure coursing.  Swift is truly what he was bred to be a sighthound pot filler!.  Happy in her new home she lords it up in front of the fire enjoying a tootle at her own speed( not her legs they have to go as fast and faster than they can cope with) up to the settlement or to the horses fields.

Swift has recently passed away, from beginning to end she lived pretty much the life he wanted to live.  Buried in her red coat I giggle at the thought of all those vengeful bunnies dancing on her grave.

Buck should be called Mr Bump!  I often joke our vets managed to fit an extra wing on their new surgery financed purely by Buck.  A lovely thoughful lurcher he is so different from Swift being very maleable and wanting to fit in with you.  He is a natural worrier with a great sense of humour he has got to be my most expensive animal by far costing me well over 6,000 pounds in vet bills alone.  Thanks to our dedicated vet we finally worked out his condition and at the grand old age of 13 he is now the picture of health despite missing two toes and a leg!

Shyboy is my last but not least lurcher, a blue eyed merle who suffered from extreme abuse and lives with the physical and mental scars.  After two years of rehabilitation he is a happy silly lad full of fun and cheek with only glimpses of the damaged dog he is.  At approximately 11years he is young at heart and very old in his body but as long as hes happy so am I.

Tumbleweed where do I start?!  As a young kitten I picked him up off the side of a road to be put down and I still have him.  Hes a hypoplastic cat( brain damaged), deaf and one eyed but I defy anyone to feel sorry for him once theyve met the dafty.  A permanent kitten locked into a sumo wrestler cat body I am very short of delicate ornaments and we have learnt to live with his turbo stlye and phenomenal voice( he cant hear himself but we and all our neighbours can).  He is one of the very few cats I know that actively enjoys a bath and enjoys a hard pat like you would a horse.  A fantastic judge of dogs he is a valuable tool when cat proofing the dogs, he jut loves travelling occassionally in the van and enoys his parttime job.

Ella is my beautiful opinionated, thoughtful mare.  A four year old Andalusian cross appaloosa.  We often go out walking and take in the sights and usually unfortunately beats me to the best wild fruits!  I now also have Zaffire or as I call her Goggles Ellas fullsister.  At six year old she has been a field ornament yet has taken to her new life in true Andalusian style.....with enthusiasm.

Ella and Goggles enjoying some mutual grooming.  What are they saying about my grooming?!

Bella was a much loved memeber of the Howlett gang who died after a tragic field accident.  Not one to idolise people or animals after their death I have to say she was without doubt the most genuine, honest, sweet horse I have ever met.
